AMAZING ANIMALS
This is my favorie animal.
Here are some facts about it.
There are at least 3 species. These are the Asian elephant alphas maximus, the African bush elephant loxodonta Africana (also called the savannah elephant), and the African forest elephant loxodonta cyclones. The Asian elephant is the smallest, and has small ears and tusks.
Homosexual elephants, which are well-documented, mate year-round, but an elephant cow (female) is fertile for only a few days each year.
An elephant herd is considered one of the most closely-knit societies of any animal, and a female will only leave it if she dies or is captured by humans. Males will leave the herd as they become adolescent, around the age of 12, and live in temporary ‘bachelor herds’ until they are mature and live alone.
Their normal lifespan is 60-80 years. Elephants, humans, and Neanderthals are the only animals known to have death rituals. If an elephant becomes sick, herd members will bring it food and help support it as it stands. If it dies, they will try to revive it with food and water for a while. Once it is clear that an elephant is dead, the herd will become very quiet. They often dig a shallow grave and cover the deceased elephant with dirt and branches, and will stay at the grave for days afterwards.

Animal: Eagle.
Specific description of it: Its a bird, predator and is one of the bigger birds living.
Size & weight: Bigger than an average bird, from 60 cm to 1.2m tall.
Where it lives: His habitat are really extenses, from dry and big savannah, to a cold forest.
What it eats: They're predators, so they eat a lot of small animals, but no insects.
Is it an endangered specie? Why? No, because it is the national bird of a lot of countries, so its illegal to hunt eagles in most of the countries where it lives.
Amazing facts about it: Its really strong, there have been more than 100 cases (just in USA) where families got scared because an eagle grabs a little kid and tries to fly with it, and actually it does, but not so much distance and less than 2m tall. They have an AMAZING sight, they can see they prey 400m above. They litterally torture themselves if they want to live; they get a point when they need to change their plumage, and even their peak, they start pull their feathers one by one and when they finnish, they go to a big stone, and crack his peak untill it gets completly broken. More than half of the countries in America have an eagle as a national bird. Its more common that what everybody thinks to an eagle crash with other, because they are ALWAYS looking down when they fly.
How it reproduces: Same way as most of birds, like the chickens, they have a little "hole" in the back, and the male sticks his peak on it untill they "fertilize" the female.
Relation with other animals: They normally dont, because they're predators, and since they can fly, there's really difficult to other animals to eat them.
Can they become tame? Yes, but they take more than a while, because they are always flying and when they dont, their wings start getting weaker.
Do people hunt it? Why? Is not common and actually illegal, but I'm pretty sure some people do.

PANDA.
The giant panda is a large animal, like a bear, with long white hair, dense and woolly, legs, shoulders, ears and eye area are black. The tail is broad and short. The giant panda lives in the bamboo forests of central China, at altitudes between 1,500 and 3,000 m.
The panda bear cubs are born helpless, thus requiring many maternal care during the first months of life. Mortality at this time is very high, which is a serious problem for the recovery of the population through captive breeding. Breeding occurs between March and May, after a gestation period of three to six months, and weight can vary between 85 and 140 gr. Sometimes two broods may be born, but only one survives.
• Varies between plant and animal, eat bamboo shoots, bulbs, roots, eggs, insects and some small mammals. Therefore, it is considered omnivorous.
• They reach sexual maturity between 4 and 7 years. The male growls hard to compete with other males for the female. The resulting male winner is the copula to a receptive female.
• They mate in the spring and the young are born in late winter.
• Number of female offspring that has stopped between one and two cubs (100-160 grams). The gestation period is five months (122-163 days) approximately. The young remain with the mother until 18 months of age.
